1. About This Policy

Victa ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Victa-Mobile App Builder, a Shopify-connected platform that lets merchants design and launch native mobile apps for their stores. This policy sets out, in plain terms, what information we gather when you use Victa, why we gather it, and the choices available to you. Installing or using Victa means you’re accepting the practices described here.

2. What We Collect

Information You Give Us Directly

  • Your name, email address, and other account or contact details
  • Store details such as your shop name, configuration choices, and preferences
  • Assets you upload or build within the app - images, copy, layouts, and settings
  • Billing details, handled through our third-party payment processors rather than stored by us directly
  • Anything you send us through support tickets, chat, or feedback forms

Information Gathered Automatically

  • Technical details about the device and operating system you’re using
  • How you interact with the builder - which tools you open, how long you spend, what you click
  • Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps)
  • Approximate location, inferred from your IP address
  • Performance and stability data, including crash and error reports

Information We Receive From Others

  • Data passed to us through connected platforms, including Shopify and our payment partners
  • Information that’s publicly available
  • Details shared with us by partners and service vendors we work with

3. Why We Use Your Information

  • Build and personalize the mobile app generated from your Shopify store
  • Pull through your products, collections, and brand assets into that app
  • Keep your app and your Shopify store in sync
  • Respond to support requests and resolve issues
  • Handle billing, renewals, and subscription changes
  • Send service-related updates and technical notices
  • Study usage trends so we can refine and expand the builder
  • Catch and fix bugs or technical problems
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

Important: We never sell or rent your store data to third parties.

4. When We Share Information

4.1 Vendors Who Help Us Operate

We rely on outside providers for things like hosting, payment processing, customer support tooling, and communications - and they only receive what they need to do that job

4.2 Legal Obligations

If we’re legally compelled - by court order, regulation, or a valid government request - we may need to disclose certain information.

4.3 Business Changes

Should Victa be involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, relevant data may transfer as part of that transaction.

4.4 When You Tell Us To

Outside of the above, we’ll only share your information for additional purposes if you’ve clearly agreed to it.

5. Keeping Your Data Safe

5.1 Where It’s Kept

Your data lives on secure servers and cloud infrastructure that follow established industry security standards.

5.2 How It’s Protected

We apply a combination of technical and organizational safeguards designed to guard against unauthorized access, tampering, exposure, or loss.

5.3 How Long We Keep It

We hold onto your information for as long as it’s needed to deliver the service and satisfy our legal obligations - no longer. You’re welcome to request deletion at any point; see Section 8.

6. Cookies & Similar Tools

Victa uses cookies and related tracking technologies to:

  • Keep your settings and preferences remembered
  • Understand usage patterns across the Service
  • Tailor content and features to you
  • Help detect fraud and keep the platform secure

Most browsers let you manage or disable cookies through their settings if you’d prefer to opt out.

7. Moving Data Across Borders

Because we operate using cloud infrastructure, your information may be processed in a country other than the one you’re in. Wherever that happens, we put safeguards in place consistent with applicable data protection law.

8. Your Rights and How to Use Them

Depending on where you’re located, you may be entitled to:

  • Access - ask what personal data we hold about you
  • Correction - ask us to fix anything inaccurate
  • Deletion - ask us to remove your personal data
  • Portability - receive your data in a transferable format
  • Objection - push back on certain types of processing
  • Restriction - ask us to limit how we process your data

To act on any of these, reach out using the contact details in Section 11.

9. Children’s Privacy

Victa isn’t designed for or directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone in that age group.

10. If You’re in the EU/EEA

10.1 Our Legal Basis

We process personal data under one or more of the following bases:

  • Performing our contract with you
  • Our legitimate business interests
  • Your consent
  • Compliance with legal obligations

10.2 Data Controller

Victa acts as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.

10.3 Lodging a Complaint

You’re entitled to file a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights haven’t been respected.

11. If You’re a California Resident

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you have additional rights, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it’s used, the right to request deletion of that information, and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. (As stated above, we don’t sell personal data.)

12. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy periodically. When changes are material, we’ll post the updated version here and refresh the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page.
